The Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management is a CMI-endorsed Level 7 qualification built for HR professionals, people managers, and talent leaders who are ready to operate at a strategic level.
Delivered entirely online and fully self-paced, this programme allows you to develop advanced HR leadership capability without stepping away from your current role.
You will study six rigorous modules that address the full scope of modern human resource management: navigating evolving work environments, driving performance, applying business ethics, conducting HR research, managing talent and reward, and leading global and diverse workforces.
The curriculum connects contemporary HR theory directly to organisational practice, equipping you to tackle complex people challenges with confidence, evidence, and authority.
On completion, you hold a globally recognised 120-credit postgraduate qualification and Foundation Chartered Manager status through CMI, with a pathway to a relevant master’s degree at a UK partner university.
Study the disciplines that matter most, from finance and marketing to leadership, operations, and sustainability, all connected directly to your working life.
This qualification positions you to lead the people function at the highest level, in any sector, in any country.
You will graduate with a CMI-endorsed Level 7 diploma worth 120 postgraduate credits and Foundation Chartered Manager status through CMI, a professional designation that signals credible, senior-level leadership capability to employers worldwide.
Beyond the credential, you will have developed the strategic thinking, ethical judgement, research proficiency, and global HR expertise that organisations require from their most senior people leaders. You will be equipped to design workforce strategies, lead organisational change, manage diverse global teams, and build high-performance cultures with both confidence and evidence.
Your completed diploma also opens a pathway to a relevant master’s degree at a UK partner university, keeping your long-term academic progression firmly within reach.
HR professionals rarely have the luxury of stepping away from their organisations to study. This programme ensures you never have to.
Everything is delivered online through LIBT’s feature-rich learning platform, giving you round-the-clock access to recorded lectures, structured study materials, textbooks, and multimedia content. Each module carries approximately 80 guided learning hours, supported by an additional 30 to 50 hours of optional materials including recommended readings, self-testing exercises, and curated online resources.
The programme is fully self-paced, so you can progress around performance cycles, recruitment campaigns, and organisational demands. On-demand tutoring is available at no additional cost, with tutors reachable by email, phone, or video call. Support is available whenever you need it, on your schedule, not ours.
Assessment on this programme is entirely assignment-based. There are no examinations. Each of the six modules is assessed through a single written assignment, making six submissions in total across the full programme.
Assignments are designed to reflect real HR practice. You will be expected to engage critically with relevant theory, apply established frameworks to genuine organisational challenges, and where appropriate, draw directly on your current role, workforce, or organisation. Every submission requires analytical rigour, original thinking, and evidence-based reasoning appropriate to Level 7 study.
For practising HR professionals, this model is a natural advantage. Your daily experience of managing people, navigating workplace dynamics, and solving organisational problems becomes the foundation of your academic work, not a distraction from it.
If you have prior postgraduate study or significant professional experience in human resource management, people operations, or a closely related field, you may not need to complete every module from scratch. LIBT’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process assesses whether your existing knowledge and competencies meet the requirements of specific modules.
Where your prior learning is verified as current, credible, and directly relevant, you may be awarded academic credit for one or more modules, reducing your remaining study commitment and helping you qualify sooner.
RPL is assessed on an individual basis. Evidence must be specific to the module in question and must demonstrate achievement at Level 7 standard. To explore whether your background qualifies, contact our admissions team or visit our dedicated RPL guidance page before you apply.
This programme is designed for motivated people who are ready to invest in their future. Here is what we look for.
