This course is designed specifically for qualified teachers working across a range of educational settings, including nurseries, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) provisions, and primary and secondary schools worldwide.
It draws on both academic research and professional practice, supporting you to develop knowledge and understanding while studying for a high-level qualification alongside your current role within a school community.
You can choose from four specialist pathways, depending on your interests and professional focus:
Note: the above course overview reflects the full Master’s Degree. By completing the Postgradaute Diploma Level 7 in Education from TNHE Institute (via LIBT), you’ll gain an understanding of many of these key areas, and have the option to complete the full master’s programme.

As being in a school or relevant educational setting is a requirement of these qualifications, you will be able to link theoretical concepts to your practice. You will be able to use this to inform your practice and have an impact on an area pertinent to school improvement and/or your own professional development.

The course is delivered in English online through webinars, podcasts, videos, research, and tutorials. Coventry University’s platforms are interactive and engaging and enable both independent and peer learning. Course content and materials are available 24/7, enabling you to study and revisit them as required and in your own time. The majority of learning may be asynchronous, however when elements are at set times, alternative times will be offered to account for different time zones.
Coventry University’s online tutorial programme provides you with teaching and support, both one-to-one with your own personal University Tutor and in a tutor group. Tutorials aim to deepen your understanding of the topics covered, and prompt you to reflect, question existing policy and practice and conduct further research and study. Early modules cover study skills vital to success in conducting action research, rooted in the topic and area of interest selected.

This course will be assessed using a variety of methods, depending upon the module.
The Coventry University Group assessment strategy ensures courses are fairly assessed and allows student progression towards achieving the intended learning outcomes to be monitored.
Note: As an TNHE Institute graduate entering at the MA final stage, your primary assessments are the Action Research Proposal and the Action Research Project, both conducted within your own school or educational setting.

On successful completion, you are awarded the MSc in International Project Management by Coventry University, a full UK master’s degree from a university ranked 9th among modern UK universities by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025. The degree carries the same award as that received by full-programme students and is recognised by employers globally across all project management sectors.
The final stage comprises two modules: an Action Research Proposal (30 credits) and an Action Research Project (30 credits), conducted within your own school. You will also choose one of four specialist pathways: Development of Expert Teaching, Mentoring in Education, SEND, or Contemporary Issues in Global Education. Your chosen pathway runs through all of your course content and assessment.
The course is delivered entirely online by the National Institute of Teaching and Education (NITE), part of Coventry University Group. Delivery combines weekly live tutorials with asynchronous content you can access at any time. Live sessions are recorded and offered at alternative times to accommodate different time zones. There are no requirements to travel to Coventry or any other venue.
